Silent Auction

Tuesday, October 22, 2024 through Friday, October 25, 2024

The American Bank Center on Shoreline Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX

The Silent Auctions are the highlight of the week for many Specialty attendees! They showcase beautiful art by talented Artists, books, memorabilia, figurines, historical photographs, clothing, note cards, decorations, ornaments, and more. Many beautiful items to bid on at each day’s Auction!

We will offer 2 Silent Auctions each day, Tuesday through Friday. Silent Auctions will begin at 9:00 am and at 1:00 pm, with the first Auction ending 15 minutes after the conclusion of Lunch Break, and the second Auction ending 15 minutes after the conclusion of that day’s judging.

Every year, Silent Auction proceeds contribute to a healthy bottom line for the Specialty and make possible SCA’s support of worthwhile causes. Why not find a special item you can donate this year to help make the Silent Auction a success? Don’t forget to let us know what you are bringing! You may avoid shipping costs by even bringing the item with you if you choose.

The Details

These details are for people who will not be able to make it to the 2024 National Specialty.  If you will be attending, you will be able to bid in person.

Please Read Carefully:

  • Bidding begins now. This Silent Auction will continue through the Live Auction on Friday evening, 10/25/24.  The Live Auction will end at approximately 10:00 PM CST.  You do NOT need to be present at the Live Auction but you MUST BE AVAILABLE BY TELEPHONE at the end of the Live Auction to pay for your prize.  If you are unavailable, prize will go to next highest bidder.
  • When bidding, be prepared to give your name, email address, phone # and bid amount. Jane Emmel (auction chair) will collect all bids and, from time to time, will contact you to advise if you are no longer the highest bidder.
  • One week prior to the Live Auction, Jane will contact you if you are the highest bidder. At that time, you can either provide her with your credit card # if you want to gamble you will remain the highest bidder, OR you can also give her a maximum bid you are willing to go up to, OR she will verify your telephone # and someone will be assigned to talk with you on the phone during the Live Auction so that you may raise your bid in a “live” environment.  If you choose the last option, you will be required to be on the telephone during the live auction so that you can participate and pay for your prize that evening.  If we cannot reach you by telephone and you are outbid, you will not win the prize.  If you are the highest bidder but we cannot reach you by telephone so that you can pay that evening, the prize will go to the next highest bidder.  It is imperative that you be available by telephone at this time if you want to ensure you will win; we cannot be flexible on this.  You not being near a phone will slow the process for everyone and we cannot grant you that grace period.
  • Be aware that auctions usually do not end earlier than 10:00 PM CST. You may be on the telephone late.
  • If you are the winner but are unable to pick up the flower arrangement in person, you can designate someone to pick it up for you Friday evening, 10/25/24. Flower arrangements will NOT be mailed.  Be prepared to give us the name of the person that you authorize to retrieve your prize on your behalf.  If that person is not present to pick up your arrangement that evening, prize will be awarded to next highest bidder.

If you will not be present to bid in person but want to bid, please complete the following form:
