Both of the below boats operate out of the Corpus Christi marina across Shoreline Blvd. from the Omni Hotel.
Harrison’s Landing – Japonica – Tour Corpus Christi Bay in the Japonica, a 50-foot, open-air, touring boat that will show you the highlights of downtown Corpus Christi. All cruises are BYOB. Multiple tours daily (closed Tuesday).
Harrison’s Landing – Texas Tease – Tour Corpus Christi Bay in the Texas Tease, a 65-foot, party boat with an air conditioned first deck, open air upper deck and full bar. It operates bay cruises, sunset cruises, party cruises and private rentals. Call to inquire about schedule.

Bar Under the Sun Restaurant
A PET FRIENDLY cocktail garden and kitchen located behind the Omni – easy to walk to. This is a former Greyhound Bus Station that serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as food and has yard games, live music and patio seating. Voted The Bend Magazine Best Bar 2021 & Best Bar 2022.

King Ranch
Located 45 miles from Corpus Christi, the King Ranch is the largest ranch in the United States. At some 825,000 acres, it is larger than the land area of Rhode Island and the European country Luxembourg. It is mainly a cattle ranch, but also produced the Triple Crown winning racehorse Assault. They offer ranch and nature tours and have a museum and saddle shop.
McGee Beach
Approximately 1 mile from the Omni right in the heart of the city! McGee Beach is a small, manmade beach overlooking Corpus Christi Bay but you can play in the sand and water and there are rental opportunities for umbrellas, chairs, cabanas, jet skis, pedal boats and surrey bicycles. This beach is free to access and dogs are welcome on leashes. Parking is free along the Seawall or at the parking lots directly across the beach.
Mustang Island
Now you’re getting to a natural beach with a 5-mile stretch of sandy coastline overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Here you can swim, surf, camp, fish, kayak, and bird watch (especially during spring and fall migrations). Mustang Island is part of the longest barrier islands in the world. It was named for the wild horses that roamed the island for hundreds of years. One of the most endangered sea turtles is the Kemp’s ridley, which only nests on the beaches of Mexico and the Texas coast, including Mustang Island.
Mustang Island is approximately ½ an hour from Corpus Christi. There is an entry fee of $5 per adult; kids under 12 are free; dogs on leashes are welcome. Parking passes must be purchased to park on much of Mustang Island. However, there is free parking between Access Rd 2 and Fish Pass and between the Horace Caldwell Pier and the Port Aransas Jetties.

USS Lexington
USS Lexington Museum – USS Lexington is an Essex-class aircraft carrier built during World War II for the United States Navy. Because of Corpus Christi’s long and proud history with the Navy and naval aviation, the USS Lexington is now harbored in Corpus Christi Bay in front of our show site, the American Bank Center, where it has been made into a museum and is open for a variety of tours including escape rooms, a 3D theater, a flight simulator, a Pearl Harbor exhibit and more. Sailboat Races
Midget Ocean Racing Fleet – On Wednesday night watch for the Midget Ocean Racing Fleet (or the M.O.R.F.), which holds sailboat races at the marina across the street from the Omni at the Lawrence Street T-head. M.O.R.F. holds the record for running weekly sailboat races longer than any other fleet in the United States.

Night Kayaking
Night Kayaking with Glow Row – Offers guided tours at nighttime in see-through kayaks equipped with multiple LED bars that allow paddlers to see beneath the water. You’ll witness underwater sea life including crabs, redfish, flounder, stingrays and more, plus view the lights from the city at night. These are 1 – 1.5 hr. long tours. Go to their website and look for the Corpus Christi or North Padre Island – Sunset Island tours. Both locations are nearby and operate on different evenings.
Texas State Aquarium
The largest aquarium in Texas, and one of the largest in the United States. You can experience daily dive shows, get up close with bottlenose dolphins, feed stingrays, and watch North American river otters play the day away. Only 2.6 miles from the Omni. More info. at the link below:
