Monday, October 21, 2024 – trials run concurrently
The Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds

Trial Secretary:  Cindy Wildman, American Lure Course Racing

What is Fast CAT Racing? Fast CAT is a sport originally designed for sighthounds like whippets and greyhounds, but NOW Every Dog is invited to participate.  New Racer?  Experienced Racer?  ALL are Welcome!  Let’s see how fast your pup can run!

Fast CAT Basics

  • Fast CAT is a timed straight race of 100 yards. Ours is on a grass field with a snow fenced enclosure.
  • Dogs run one at a time.
  • Fast CAT suffix titles are earned at designated milestones:
    • BCAT = 150 points
    • DCAT = 500 points
    • FCAT = 1,000 points
    • FCAT# = every additional 500 points

The finer details:

  • Entries Open July 21, 2024
  • Entries Close October 21, 2024, the day of event.
  • When entering, you will be able to choose a 1-hour window to complete both runs. Dogs usually run at 30-minute intervals.  You don’t have to be at the fields all day!
  • Girls in Season – No bitches in season will be allowed to compete. We will accept entries the day-of if you think your bitch may be coming in.
  • Early entry fee is $25 per run. Early entry closes October 18, 2024.
  • After October 18, 2024, all entries will be $30 per run including day-of entries.
