A Pedigree Book will be included with each catalog sold at this year’s National Specialty. The Book contains four separate sections:
- A Pedigree Section: For breeders and owners who wish to highlight the dogs of his or her kennel. A valuable resource for learning pedigrees and chronicling the ancestry of our breed. All dogs will appear in alphabetical order.
- A Performance Section: For those who wish to honor the accomplishments of his or her dogs in performance venues. All dogs will appear in alphabetical order.
- A Memorial Section: For those who wish to honor the life of his or her dog. All dogs will appear in alphabetical order.
- Open Advertising: Any advertisement (brags/litter announcements/business/etc) with no set formatting style. Create your own or design services are available (Please contact Cindy Hill to coordinate). Inside Front Cover, Inside Back Cover, and Back Cover placements are available.

What Is Included?
PEDIGREE AD SECTION
This is a template ad that is assembled for you. Ad is full page and will include ONLY the following information:
- Dog’s full name with titles
- ONE black and white photo of dog
- Dog’s call name
- Registration number
- Birthdate
- Gender
- CHIC# OR Health clearance numbers (Hip, Eye, Cardiac, XL-PRA & RD/OSD)
- A “Frozen Semen Available” notation is available for males
- Name of breeder(s)
- Name of owner(s)
- Email address
- Three generation pedigree
PERFORMANCE AD
This is a template ad that is assembled for you. Ad is full page and will include ONLY the following information:
- Dog’s full name with titles
- ONE black and white photo of dog
- Dog’s call name
- Registration number
- Birthdate
- Gender
- CHIC# OR Health clearance numbers (Hip, Eye, Cardiac, XL-PRA & RD/OSD)
- A “Frozen Semen Available” notation is available for males
- Name of breeder(s)
- Name of owner(s)
- Email address
- Dog’s sire and dam
- Short bio (200 words or less) of dog’s achievements
MEMORIAL SECTION
This is a template ad that is assembled for you. Ad is full page and will include ONLY the following information:
- Dog’s full name with titles
- ONE black and white photo of dog
- Dog’s call name
- Registration number
- Dates of life
- Gender
- CHIC# OR Health clearance numbers (Hip, Eye, Cardiac, XL-PRA & RD/OSD)
- A “Frozen Semen Available” notation is available for males
- Name of breeder(s)
- Name of owner(s)
- Email address
- Dog’s sire and dam
- Short bio (200 words or less) of dog’s life
**On all Pedigree, Performance and Memorial sections, NO other information will be permitted.
OPEN ADVERTISING
This is an ad that you submit PRINT-READY. It is a full page, black and white ad. It may include any information such as special wins, upcoming litters, business advertisement, etc.
Document size is 8.675” x 11.125”. Please allow 1/8” margin for cutting.
There are three Color Cover spots available on a first come, first served basis: (1) Inside Front Cover, (1) Inside Back Cover and (1) Back Cover. Contact Cindy Hill to reserve a cover option.
All open ads are to be submitted PRINT-READY and will be published exactly as received. No editing or changes will be made.
If you need your Cover or Open Ad created for you, independent design services are available. Contact Cindy Hill for details.
Submission Guidelines
**If a dog has been in previous pedigree books, their information does not need to be resubmitted. Only updates are needed. Contact Cindy Hill to confirm the dog’s info.**
- To submit dog information in the Pedigree, Performance and Memorial Ad sections, please use the electronic or downloadable forms provided on the website.
- Please submit Open and Cover Ads in a PDF, PNG, or JPG file format. These need to be PRINT-READY.
- A minimum of one proof will be provided via email for each ad purchased with exception to open advertising that is submitted as print-ready.
- Photos may be submitted in digital format (300 dpi JPEG or PNG) or sent by mail. Un-cropped, color photos are preferred. Photos for Pedigree, Performance and Memorial sections will be cropped to show only the dog. Please let us do the cropping.
- We are not responsible for the quality of your photo if these guidelines are not followed.
- All photos, regardless, must be received by SEPTEMBER 1, 2024 and all mailed photos will be returned by mail. If you are mailing a photo there is an additional fee of $5.00 to return your photo by mail.
